How It Works

1. A business is submitted

Anyone can submit a business. The form asks for a description, category, location, services and keywords — the things search actually needs.

2. A person reviews it

Submissions land in a review queue. Nothing is published automatically. A reviewer approves it, rejects it, or asks for changes with a reason attached.

3. It becomes searchable

Approval is what creates the public listing and adds it to the search index — at that moment, and only then. Until approved, a listing cannot be found by any search, by anyone.

4. Results are ranked

Ranking uses twelve weighted signals: how well the title, keywords and description match, whether the service, category and location line up, whether the business is verified, how complete its profile is, its rating, engagement, freshness, and an editorial adjustment.

The weighting is transparent and adjustable. Views alone never lift a listing: engagement is measured as click-through rate against how often a listing was actually shown, and smoothed so a single click cannot outweigh a long record.
