Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, addressed a Post-Budget Webinar 2026 focusing on the theme of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas – Fulfilling Aspirations of the People.” During the session, he emphasized the critical role of education, innovation, and skill development in shaping the country’s future and accelerating progress toward a developed nation.
The webinar brought together policymakers, industry leaders, educators, and experts to discuss strategies for effectively implementing the initiatives announced in the Union Budget 2026.
During his address, Modi highlighted that education remains the foundation of India’s development. He stressed the need to modernize educational institutions, improve research capabilities, and equip students with practical skills that match the demands of the global economy.
The Prime Minister also spoke about the importance of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education. Strengthening these areas will help India build a workforce capable of competing in emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence, data science, and advanced manufacturing.
He encouraged universities and research institutions to collaborate with industries to ensure that academic learning translates into real-world innovation.
Innovation was another major theme of the webinar. Modi said that India must move beyond traditional development models and focus on technology-driven growth.
He highlighted how startups, research centers, and young entrepreneurs are contributing to India's transformation into a global innovation hub. The government, he said, will continue supporting startup ecosystems, digital infrastructure, and research initiatives.
By encouraging creativity and technological experimentation, India can strengthen sectors such as healthcare, renewable energy, agriculture, and digital services.
The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of skill development programs to prepare India's youth for future opportunities.
India has one of the world’s youngest populations, and providing them with relevant skills is essential for economic progress. According to Modi, government initiatives will focus on vocational training, digital skills, and industry-aligned education.
These programs aim to ensure that young people are ready for jobs in emerging industries and advanced technologies.
Another key point highlighted during the webinar was the importance of women’s participation in the workforce. Modi emphasized that empowering women through education, entrepreneurship, and employment opportunities is vital for sustainable development.
Increasing female participation in sectors such as technology, business, healthcare, and research will not only boost economic growth but also promote inclusive development across the country.
Throughout his speech, Modi reiterated his vision of building a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) in the coming decades. He stated that the Union Budget and related policy initiatives are designed to support long-term development goals.
By focusing on education, innovation, digital transformation, and skill development, India aims to strengthen its position as a global economic powerhouse.
